There are those who like science, those who don’t like science and those who love science so much that they are willing to take time out of their lives to host a science show for young students and potential future scientists. Now personally I fall into the first category but was thrilled to be able to host a show for several primary schools.
The show was a mix of experiments to excite and captivate the audience of children and show them how interesting science can be compared to the primary school curriculum. It was presented by first time host ‘Ben Cummins’ and ‘Daniel Butt’. The show ran for roughly thirty minutes and in my completely unbiased opinion was a huge hit. A reporter from the Roscommon Herald was present to write an article for her newspaper, but got a much more up close and personal experience when the hosts elected her for one of the wetter experiments on display. The show went down well with the crowd receiving it positively. The show then ended with volunteers from the audience coming up the play music with plastic tubing with the labels A,C,D,E,F and G and on that note I’ve said all that i need to say on the science show.
