Remembrance Ceremony in France:
On the 27th of November France held a solemn ceremony in remembrance of all those who were injured or died in the Paris attacks on the 13th of November. The French President Francois Hollande led the ceremony especially remembering the victims of the attacks and their families.
Mr Hollande vowed that he and the people of France should respond to these attacks by showing solidarity and sing more songs in honour of all those killed. He said that“We will not give in either to fear or to hate”. He also vowed, saying that “I solemnly promise you that France will do everything to destroy the army of fanatics that committed these crimes” La Marseillaise was played at the start of the ceremony to mark the President’s arrival. The majority of the victims were under 35 marking out that the attacks were aimed at places where nightlife was popular such as bars and restaurants. These attacks were the worst ever terror attacks on French soil even worse than World War 2!
Even though this attack is over people are worried about the French Authorities monitoring who is going to and from Syria.
