Film Review; Mad Max: Fury Road
If you’re into great, action packed, thrill fest movies, then here is a suggestion for your taste. Mad Max stars Tom Hardy as the main protagonist, Max. After the collapse of worldwide civilisation, survivors have been enslaved by Immortan Joe, an oil fuelled psychopath, as he holds the key to the world’s last water source in a world engulfed by desert. Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron, attempts to escape with Joe’s enslaved wives, and runs into trouble and seeks the help of a lone drifter, Max. Together they must survive in the unending desert, whilst being under threat from the apocalypse’s psychotic survivors.
The main plot and the overall pacing of the film lacks a little in terms of storytelling, but if you care more for mindless action and out of control explosions, then this tiny con will not take you away from this great movie experience. Undoubtedly one of the top summer films of 2015, you would be missing out if you were not to see it.
